Book Cover #1

I did this picture in about four hours for a friend of mine who wrote a book about the Linux operating system. The title of the book is 'Linux Companion: The Essential Guide for Users and System Administrators' by Mark F. Komarinski (esq.). Look for it in bookstores everywhere! :)

I actually was going to do more with this picture, but when I submitted the first modified version, Mark said, `hey, that looks great' and took it as is. Go figure. :)

Brochure for Lucent Technologies

Telecommunications giant Lucent Technologies selected this picture as the cover image for a brochure promoting their 'Inferno' network OS. A portion of this picture also appeared for a time in their homepage in the information about what their product can do for game consoles, however they changed those images sometime not long after.

Lucent was kind enough to give me several copies of this brochure which was created to send to game console manufacturers around the world. (e.g. Nintendo, Sega, Sony, etc, etc.) I think the picture turned out great.. what do you think?

Linux System Administration Handbook

This is the cover of a book by the dynamic duo of Cary Collett and Mark Komarinski, Esq.

I worked on this over the summer and got it ready for production in fall '97. Enjoy!

Linux System Administration Handbook (RedHat)

This image was simply an updated version of the cover image for LSAH with the addition of a few elements to suggest the 'red hat' theme of the book.

This image is a little easier on the eyes, with a more atmospheric feel and better color balance. I like the 'bitstream' in the foreground a lot better than the previous one. I didn't have time to improve the infinite circuit board, however. I still think some of those chips need pins. :)
